How to Cure Male Yeast Infection
My boyfriend of a year noticed that his penis was itching and we thought that maybe we had somehow contracted an STD. After a little research and some trial & error, however, we figured out that he had a male yeast infection. So take a breath if you notice that you are itching or in pain down there. You may just have a men's yeast infection and it's no big deal!

The Yeast Infection Test
There is a simple test you can do to tell if you have a male yeast infection. Put an ordinary glass of water on your nightstand.
-
The next morning right when you wake up, spit twice into the water. If your spit remains on the top of the water or turns clear, you do not have a yeast infection. However, if you do have a male yeast infection, in 10-15 minutes you will notice that your spit gets stringy and starts to sink to the bottom. Also see our section on Yeast Infection Symptoms to see pictures of how yeast looks on men's genitalia. Not safe for work.

The Fastest Cure for a Men's Yeast Infection
Female yeast infection products are the fastest and most effective over-the-counter treatments to cure a yeast infection on your penis. Formulated to be gentle and soothing, they will not hurt the gentle skin of your genitalia. Most yeast infection cures come with suppositories that a woman inserts into her vagina. As a man, clearly this is not going to work for you, BUT the suppositories are still extremely helpful when curing a men's yeast infection on the penis. We recommend buying the entire package (suppositories and external cream) as the Miconazole Cream tube is portable and easy-to-use. Keep reading...

Buying Yeast Infection Cures for Men
Curing yeast infections often requires multiple applications of antifungal cream, so your best bet is to buy a Three Day Miconazole product. You can buy a brand name treatment or generic: it's the same stuff.
-
Melting the Suppository
Peel open the suppository. It's just a harmless, hard, white pill-shaped suppository that has 4% miconazole nitrate (the active antifungal ingredient that cures yeast infections for both men and women). Put the yeast infection suppository in a microwave-safe bowl. Microwaving/heating the suppository will not affect the miconazole nitrate.
-
Microwave the suppository for 60 seconds on normal heat and check it. You just want the suppository to be softly melted. If not melting as shown, microwave for an additional 30 seconds.
-
Make sure the melted suppository is not too hot to the touch and apply it directly to your penis and balls or anus - or wherever you feel itchy. Apply liberally and frequently to get rid of the yeast infection as quickly as possible. If you have to go to work, just let the suppository re-harden, as show below. You can microwave multiple times. Be sure to apply before going to bed for maximum effectiveness.
-
If you do need to go to work or anywhere for the day, grab the tube of topical "External Vulvar Cream." This is going to have a 2% miconazole nitrate concentration while the suppository has a 4% concentration. Apply the portable cream as many times a day as you feel necessary, even up to ten times.
-
Another tip: if you really want to speed up the healing process, add a few drops of common white vinegar to the cream or melted suppository that you are applying. Vinegar will acidify the pH and kill fungus. Just be careful to not apply too much as the skin on the penis is obviously quite sensitive.
